Summary: Most of us found this a quick compelling read, though many felt a bit sullied by the experience ... Was the writer just making a quick buck, from sensationalist news headlines, or could the book offer more, in terms of an exploration of a very unusual narrative voice and take on language. The debate about whether it represented ingenious, or lazy, writing was quite fierce.
